100 Points, Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Few and Far Between has a deep garnet-purple color, charging out of the gate with vivacious scents of stewed black cherries, crème de cassis, Indian spices and sandalwood, with touches of menthol, pencil lead and black truffles. Full-bodied, the palate is built like a brick house, featuring rock-solid, ripe, grainy tannins and seamless freshness to support the multilayered, shimmery black and blue fruits, finishing with an opulent burst of exotic spices.", Lisa Perrotti-Brown, 12/1/21

100 Points, JebDunnuck.com: "The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Few And Far Between Vineyard is pure magic and tops out my scale. From a site near Eisele Vineyard, it has a complex bouquet of red, blue, and black fruits as well as new leather, freshly sharpened pencils, bouquet garni, and assorted spices. Deep, full-bodied, ripe, and sexy, it shows the structured, pure, precise style of the 2018 vintage while bringing classic Hundred Acre depth, richness, and length. Drink this sensational beauty over the coming 20-25 years.", Jeb Dunnuck, 2/16/23

VINEYARD NOTES:

Few and Far Between is one of three estate vineyards, all of which are farmed organically although they are not certified. The 5-acre Few & Far Between is tucked deep in a small valley in Calistoga. Just down a gentle slope is historic Eisele Vineyard, best known as the source of Araujo Estate's Cabernet Sauvignon and considered hallowed ground by many. This vineyard and her wines have garnered incredible praise from the world-famous wine writer, Mr. Robert Parker Jr. The pristine site, planted in rocky alluvial soils, is 90 percent Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc.

VINTAGE NOTES:

The 2018 is a monolithic year that must be given a great deal of respect. The 2018 vintage is not funny, it is deadly serious and makes me stop in my tracks, it was a beautiful vintage, one of my happiest and maybe my happiest ever. I smile when I think of the 2018 and just keep smiling.
