WINEMAKER NOTES:

All Hundred Acre wines are made by a very exacting standard in the vineyard. Pruning to
one cluster (per shoot), harvesting in multiple passes (five or more), sorting the fruit berry
by berry, fermenting in small, French oak fermenters, and long aging in the finest barriques.
The secret to Hundred Acre is no compromise and no detail overlooked, ever. The Few and
Far Between vineyard, Hundred Acre's smallest production and smallest vineyard is truly a
staggeringly beautiful place in the world-many have said it's magical. It's also home to
Jayson and Helen Woodbridge.

VINEAYRD NOTES:

Few and Far Between is one of three estate vineyards, all of which are farmed organically
although they are not certified. The 5-acre Few & Far Between is tucked deep in a small valley in Calistoga. Just down a gentle slope is historic Eisele Vineyard, best known as the source of Araujo Estate's Cabernet Sauvignon and considered hallowed ground by many. This vineyard and her wines have garnered incredible praise from the world-famous wine writer, Mr. Robert Parker Jr. The pristine site, planted in rocky alluvial soils, is 90 percent Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc.

TASTING NOTES:

An extreme small crop, dryness and zero heat spikes combined with super small, concentrated berries and a super long ripening season resulted in the vintage being hailed as one of the TRULY great ones…

COOPERAGE:

Aged for 24-30 months in the finest French oak barrique. The stave wood is hand-selected
for ultra-tight grain, then air dried for three years before being made into barrels.
